After several years of working on large ranches in North Texas and the Texas Panhandle, Randy decided to pick up a camera and document the work of his friends; ranchers and cowboys. Randy's photographs show the good horses, hard working cowboys, and wide open spaces that draw people to the cowboy lifestyle. That lifestyle makes the people that live it special. On many of these ranches, the country is so rough that the only way to get around is horseback.  The methods of working haven't changed in over 100 years. 
 
Not all but many of the situations shown in the photos taken on these ranches are away from roads. That means carrying a camera horseback, which adds a rare dimension to Randy's photos of this lifestyle.
